April is National Poetry month. In this workshop (ages 12 to adult), we will be creating Blackout poetry which is like a treasure hunt where you are finding hidden meanings and secret messages in unlikely places. Using pages of existing text, blackout poets isolate then piece together single words or short phrases from these texts to create “lyrical masterpieces”. Join us on Wednesday, April 17, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, as we explore this new art form! Please bring an article from a magazine, newspaper or book with an interesting theme to mark up. Colored Pencils, crayons and markers will be available, or you can bring your own.
