Ornament Paint Party at the Library with Cheryl Kerns (18+)

On Saturday, November 1 from 11:00 am -12:00 pm, Cheryl Kerns with Paint Your Party LLC will help us create a Highland cow holiday ornament. No art experience is necessary, as Cheryl will walk you through a step-by-step process, and at the end of the program, you will leave the library with a beautiful Highland cow hand painted ornament. This is a free program and all supplies will be provided; however, we require a $10 deposit upon registration that will be returned to you on the day of the event (you must be listed as the person attending to receive the deposit back). In person registration began October 15. This class is full. November Adult Take and Make: Holiday Greeting Cards (18+) Pick up a Holiday Greeting Card Take and Make Kit on Monday, November 3. In each kit, you will have supplies to complete 2 cards ("Thankful Pumpkin" and "Happy Holidays Presents"). These kits will be available while supplies last. Crochet Basics with Acacia and Teressa The November dates for the crochet class are Tuesday, November 4 and Tuesday, November 25 from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. This class is currently full. Rootfinders November Meeting: We will see you in the community room on Saturday, November 8 at 10 am. Stop by the community room to learn about your roots, enjoy a cup of coffee, and meet with likeminded individuals in the search for the past. Getting Reel Film Club (18+) We will meet on Monday, November 17 from 5:30 - 6:15 pm to discuss the movie, "Rope". There are still a few spots open in this club. We will be meeting to discuss the book "Mexican Gothic" by Sylvia Moreno-Garcia on Tuesday, November 18 from 5:30 -6:15 pm. This book club is currently full. Adult Ornament Paint Party at the Library (18+) On Saturday, December 13 from 11 am to 12 pm, join Cheryl Kerns at the library to learn how to paint this Santa Ornament. This is a guided painting class, so you do not have to be an expert to leave with an adorable ornament. Cheryl will walk you through each step of the process, allowing time for questions, concerns, or anything else that might arise. In-person registration for this program will begin on Wednesday, November 26. Remember to bring your $10 deposit as it is required upon registration. Don't worry, though, this will be returned to you on the day of the event. Friends of the Library Holiday Auction is Coming... The Friends Annual Holiday Auction is coming! Come in and bid on your favorite holiday decorations and gift baskets which have been donated by area businesses and community groups. If you have an item you are interested in donating, please contact Kathleen Welch at welchka@marylcook.com. Bidding will begin Friday, November 21 at noon. Bidding will end on Thursday, December 11 at 7:00 pm. You could do your holiday shopping at the library! Puzzle Swap/Puzzle Table No checking out!
