Mr. Remy & Friends Magician, juggler, and ventriloquist performance on Wednesday, June 7 from 11:00 - 11:30 am for ages 5 yrs. - entering 5th grade in our Community Room. No registration is required. Storytime on Wednesday, June 7 2 yrs. - 4 yrs. and a caregiver from 11:00 - 11:30 am in the Children's Activity Room. You’ve Got a Friend in Me: Reading Buddies K - 3rd grade: Children will practice reading aloud, sight word recognition and comprehension skills with supportive, enthusiastic teen volunteers. Required registration began May 24; this program is full. Sessions are Tuesdays: June 6, 13, 20, 27 from 11:30 am - 12 pm. Feed the Bees Paint a clay flowerpot and take it home to plant flowers with seeds and soil that we provide. All supplies provided. Ages 5 years to entering 5th grade with a caregiver. Registration required - you may register for only one program: June 14 from 12 - 12:45 pm or 5:30 - 6:15 pm. Registration began May 24. A prize winner will be drawn on Monday, July 10. Waynesville Food Pantry All Together Now: Help support our local food pantry. Gather your donations and drop them off at MLC. We have a bin in the lobby for donations. Items needed: peanut butter, canned soup, individual fruit cups, tuna, canned chicken, granola bars. Read 1000 Books Before Kindergarten! Parents: Stop at the front desk to request your 1000 books log sheet. For every 100 books your child reads they earn a free book and a sticker! When your child reaches 1000 books they will receive a free book and a certificate of achievement. Imagination Library Help us give every child in Warren County the gift of a free book every month! The goal of the Warren County Imagination Library is "Every Child Reads Every Day", and to help achieve that goal, the five Warren County libraries are funding a three-year pilot program to provide a free book each month to Warren County children from birth to age five. The Warren County Imagination Library is a community effort of founding partners: Franklin-Springboro Public Library, Lebanon Public Library, Mary L. Rootfinders Rootfinders is taking a summer break but will return in the fall. Use this time to find some interesting ancestral discoveries! Adult Take and Make Adults (ages 16 and up), create faux succulents. Pick up your take home kit starting June 1 to make felt succulents and "plant" them in a pot which is provided. While supplies last. Puzzle Swap/Puzzle Table We have a puzzle swap area near the Large Print book section. We have several puzzles available for you to look through to borrow. If you want to rotate your puzzle collection, bring one in and take one out. No checking out!
